Bride Killed in Accident on Route 1
Mrs. Howard L. Loring of Boston, Mass, a bride of three days, was killed in an accident on Highway 1 last Friday morning, and her husband received head injuries.
Bound for Florida on their honeymoon, Mr. And Mrs. Loring’s car was involved in an accident near Ladysmith on the ice-coated road. Mrs. Loring was thrown from the automobile and crushed by another car. Also injured in the accident were Mrs. Iva Morris, Mrs. Pearl Brahm and Mrs. Alma Bladerscher, all of Orville, Ohio.
Numerous other accidents occurred on Highway 1 on Friday. A light blanket of snow Thursday night and ice Friday morning made driving extremely difficult. Dr. and Mrs. Wallace H. Dunn of Pittsburgh were injured the same day when a truck crashed into the rear of their automobile. A number of other cars were stalled in the ditches along the route.
