I think it is very likely, based on the family's association with the Smalls/Smarrs, that John Reid, son of Col. John Reid, was the same man who moved to Union District, SC. This John Reid married twice, the second wife being Judith Lascelles. His first wife is thought to have been named Catherine or Corrine, but I haven't seen proof of this. His children most likely included William, Alfred J., Elizabeth (m. John Smarr), Zachariah, Jethro L., Joseph, and Sarah.
