Does anyone have any additional information on the following Chancery Suit from Amherst County, Virginia? I was only able to see the blurb returned by a search engine. I wasn't able to view the document.

Amherst County Chancery Suits
"John Vaughan, Michael Stucker and Nancy his wife, Larkin. Sandidge3 and Mary his wife, vs. Edward Carter and Nancy his wife. This suit was instigated in the ... "

Children of Martin & Eleanor Vaughn:

- Cornelius Vaughn & Nancy Carter
- John Vaughn & Elizabeth Looney
- Nancy Vaughn & Michael Stucker
- Mary Vaughn & Larkin Sandidge

As I understand it, Nancy (or Ann or Anne) Carter was a daughter of Job and Sarah Carter. Job Carter was a descendant of Capt. Thomas Carter of Barford (wife Katherine Dale).

Nancy Carter married Cornelius Vaughn on November 11, 1778 in Amherst County, Virginia. Cornelius Vaughn died about two years later. As far as I know. Cornelius and Nancy did not have any children.

About two years after her first husband's death, Nancy Carter-Vaughn married Edward Carter. I think Edward Carter was a son of Griffin Carter and his wife Mary Hudson-Carter. As far as I know, Griffin Carter was not related to Job Carter.

I'm assuming the Chancery Suit brought by the Vaughn siblings against Nancy and Edward was for the return of something Nancy had inherited from Cornelius. Possibly land?? I don't know when this happened. I'm assuming it was not long after Edward and Nancy married.

Does anyone know the results of this case?

Thank you.
