If anyone lives near the Old City Cemetery in Lynchburg, VA, who has a digital camera, wouold you please get a photo of my gr-gr-grandfather's marker? It reads: I.S. F 44 NC and is in Section 200, Row 5, Grave 2 (or Row 2, Grave 5). The cemetery does not take pictures of the tombstones, but they did tell me that my gr-gr-grandfather, Isaac Smith, died of scorbutus and that he was 6' 4" tall!
For anyone looking for the Jonathan Smith family of Montgomery Co., NC, Isaac's widow is buried in Marlboro County, SC, in First Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. I took photos of all the grave markers in the cemetery and sent them to Victoria Proctor, who put them online. Isaac's daughter, Ann Eliza Smith Reynolds is there, too, with both mothers-in-laws for Ann Eliza and John Wesley Reynolds.
Thanks bunches. (I'd get a photo for you if I live near a cemetery that you wanted a photo from.)
