Payton,

Thank you very much for responding to my query, Regarding "Lincastle, Amherst County, Virginia". The late Lee Nelson<fxgate@worldnet.att.net>, and a descendent of William Angus and Elizabeth Martin wrote in one of her research papers: " The Angus family had settled in Giles County by 1809. James Angus and his two sisters, Polly (Mary) and Elzabeth, with their spouses arrived here from Lincastle, Amherst County, Virginia". She could have easily misspelled Fincastle. Howewver, other William Angus researchers have also listed "Lincastle" as William's first place of residence in Virginia. I really do not know.

Children of William Angus and Elizabeth Martin: James Angus B: 24 Aug 1777; Jane Angus B: 6 Aug, 1779; Elizabeth Angus B: 22 Mar 1782; Mary (Polly) B: 1786; William Angus Jr B: 1790; Alexander Angus B: 1791 and Nancy (or Jenny) B: ?. Yes, I believe this is my William. Except for Jane Angus, the names you have listed are the same.

Where and how can I get a copy of this Deed?

Again, thank you very much for your help.
