I just visited the Amherst Co, VA Court House and copied a guardian's bond 1808 for George W. Scott, s/o Isaac Scott. George W. had a half-brother named John W.; could he be the one you're looking for? Some of the guardian's bonds are in the order books, which are not indexed. George's guardian's bond was in a will book, and the will books are indexed. Now that I have established Isaac Scott as George's father, I am searching for any information on Isaac's family. Isaac married (1) Elizabeth Miles in Amherst, VA in 1793 and (2) Martha Dillard in Amherst in 1802. Pat Seaver
