Thanks Geri This Stephen Cobb was from the same area of N.C. of which my folks originated. And most likely kindred. I'm thinking my folks might have migtated to Ala. in 1830's and ggf, Wiley could have enlisted from there. He is not listed in N.C. soldiers Wiley
