Mooncotch - MUNKACSI is Hungarian surname, meaning from Munkacz (today Mukachevo). Various immigration records list immigrants w/this surname as Magyar. What religion did your Immigrant Ancestor practice?

At the turn of the 19th century Kiralyhaza was a village of 1,651 residents, predominantly Hungarian and Rusyn. The village was large enough to have its own Greek Catholic and Roman Catholic Parish. There was also a Jewish Kahal located here. The filial Reform Parish was in Feketehaza (today called Chornij Potik).

Kiralyhaza today is called Korolevo > Vynohradivsky raion/district > Zakarpatska oblast/region > Ukraine zip 90332
смт Королево > Виноградівський район > З акарпатська область

Following is a very interesting link for anyone w/ancestors from Carpathian Mountain Region.

The oldest human remains in Ukraine and Central Europe were found near Korolevo in Vynohradiv district and date back one million years.
No LDS Films are available for this village, limiting your druthers.
