When UFT stopped being supported, I moved all of my data to Ancestry.com. I have been updating my online file for years. When using UFT I faithfully captured and cited evidence for every event, no matter how small. With Ancestry.com, I find that the depth of information recorded is not as great. For example, there is nowhere to record schools attended during childhood. All you can capture is the Event name, the date, location and description.

I liked the richness of the UFT product, but found it difficult to configure the reports to produce a book. So, now I either have to export my data from Ancestry.com to UFT add the missing information and figure out how to configure UFT reports properly or migrate to new and better software. What would be the best software for publishing an "almost professional genealogist" quality book? Right now, I'm using MS Word, but I it will take the rest of my life to manually prepare each record.
