save your old information (project and all portions thereof) as a backup (SQZ file). Put your version 3 on your new computer and then download the 3.1 update (only available online)http://www.rootsusers.org/FAQs/UFTFiles/puft3ua.exe [use this one if you had the CD] http://www.rootsusers.org/FAQs/UFTFiles/puft3ra.exe [use this one if you downloaded from the internet] Once it is updated, open your program to make sure everything is working, then you can open (as a backup) your sqz file and save as a pro again.
