Hi there, Anne

I have been trying with no luck to find the family of my great-great grandmother Jessie Emma Peebles. She married John Patrick Christopher Keller in Anderson County in 1898. The only thing I've found that may be a clue is that prior to marry JPC Keller, he was appointed Postmaster of Tucker, Texas, and his predecessor was a Thomas H. Peebles. Three years later, he married Jessie in the same county. I am guessing that Thomas and Emma are related.

The only other clue I have... there is some family lore that Jessie's father was a sheriff or some type of law enforcement in Louisiana. The censuses I've found her on have her birthplace as Mississippi. I have had no luck with either state in finding her parents' names.

I have documented that Jessie lived in Anderson, Newton and Jasper counties from 1898 through her death in Kirbyville, Texas in 1968. She and JPC Keller had four kids: Gladys Mae, John Horace (or Henry), Celeste Christine (my great-grandmother) and John Patrick.

If you find any of these names in the information you have, I would love to connect.
