John Ruben YATES married twice. By his marriage to Talitha (GRAVES?, b. 1820 NC, d. 1872, Denton Co., TX), he had 11 known children: Sarah Elizabeth, Mary "Pollie", Benjamin, William, Amy M., David B., Nancy R., Melvina Catherine, John S. "Bud", Sina Vada, Rachel Ann "Annie" with first seven being born in AR and the others in TX. By his second marriage to Amanda Caroline CULLEN, he had 2 children: Ruben Ezuquei & Maude. I have not been able to find the marriage of John and Talitha. Did they marry in KY/MO/AR? John's second marriage record was lost in the 1875 Denton Co., TX courthouse fire.
