Below, information as found also for you on another forum. Hope you'll stop back here and there to read your replies!

In this query, your true focus is finding the facts of the adoption of Lucille. Yet you say very little about her - not even her birth year. Was her birth surname Drouin? Or was that the name of her adoptive parents? I did find the obituary for her second husband, but really it's the facts of her early life that are needed to begin to unravel the adoption mystery.

That said, it seems it's often pretty hard to trace the birth parents of adopted children outside official channels open only to family. So maybe you want to ask for advice on how to trace an adoption. Genforum has an Adoption Forum where your query might get a better answer than here.

I would delete this query (it contains information about living people that is intrusive of their privacy). Then write a new query asking about Lucille's adoption and saying as much as you possibly can about her, her adoptive family, and her birth parents (if nothing is known, state that).

Post records you've found, explain any searching you've done that didn't "pan out" (so that volunteers don't repeat your efforts) and share family stories (do family members say it was a matter of one family member giving the child to another - or was it a closed, blind adoption via an adoption agency - or what?)

I would definitely delete the living people stuff. Click the "notify administrator" button to do so. Your family members know who they are and can connect with your post via the shared grandparents. Meanwhile, their information does little to shine a light on the mystery of Lucille's adoption.
