John and Louvinia were in Troup Co, GA in 1860. In 1880 in Whitfield Co, GA. By 1900 John Newton is in Burnet Co, TX and in a separate household is Louvinia head of her own household with three of her adult children. So she at least made it to TX.

Go to Find a Grave site -- -- Click on Search for a Cemetery, type in Odd Fellows Cemetery, click on name of cemetery, enter surname of Faith and you can view headstones for John and his wife and someone has posted a lot of information on them and their families, too.

On the site for Civil War soldiers I found this:

Faith, John, Confederate; Infantry
1st Regiment, Georgia Infantry (State Guards)

Happy Hunrting (^_^)
