[Informant: Mrs. Marvin Kennedy, maybe a married dauther?]

Janet is on the 1930 census Galveston Co, TX as wife of Marvin Kennedy.

1860 census Liberty Co, TX page 311:

Cade, S.M., 25 (male) b AL - land 3000/personal 300
Cade, Wm. J., 23, b MS - land 3000/personal 300
[this might be your William Cade]

Page 294:

Cade, J.M., 50, b GA - land 2200/personal 8000 [slaves?]
De Blanc, Jerome,Jr, 21, b LA - no land/personal 2500

J.M. is a Physician and Jerome is an "overseer" which usually means slaves.

On Rootswebs WorldConnect site -- http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi -- I played around a bit and J.M. is John M. Cade b GA, and died in Liberty Co, TX, is listed as father of William and Samuel. I would get in touch with submitters they have more to share with you.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
