Hello, There was an article titled "Gone to Texas" that was originally printed in the Dallas Morning News in 1932 and it has been reprinted in the Chronicles of Smith County Texas a couple of times. Once in 1965 and again in 1984. "Gone To Texas" described the trip these folks made from Crawford Co., Georgia to Wood Co., Texas. The names listed in the article were: Webb, Stembridge, Nichols, Bryant, Chapman and Bundrick.

Below I have listed some of the relationships of the group that were listed in the article and my relationship to them. I welcome corrections if anyone notices any errors.

Bertis A. Webb m. Mary A. Dickson my ggg-grandparents. (daughter of John Barnett Dickson, second husband of Hannah Nichols Bryant)

Henry Stembridge m. Sophronia J. Webb my gg-Aunt (daughter of Bertis and Mary Webb)

William G. Chapman m. Sarah Emma Webb (2nd daughter of Bertis and Mary Webb) my gg-Uncle and gg-Aunt by both names.

Benjamin F. Webb m. Martha E. Chapman (son of Bertis and Mary Webb; sister of William Chapman) my gg-grandparents.

George Chapman m. Mary Isabella Stembridge (brother of William and Martha; daughter of Henry and Sophronia) George was my gg-Uncle and Mary was both my gg-Aunt by marriage and my 1st cousin 3x removed.

Martha E., William G. and George were siblings and the children of Louis Otis Chapman and Margaret Ellen Odom (my ggg-grandparents), who remained in Georgia.

The only name I haven't connected to in some way, yet, is Bundrick.

These people came to Texas, earlier, in 1858:

Hanna Nichols Bryant m. John Barnett Dickson John was my gggg-grandfather.

Sarah Aletha Bryant m. James Dickson (daughter of Hannah Nichols Bryant and the nephew of John Barnett Dickson) James would be my first cousin 4x removed.

My line: Diana, d/o Living Peek, d/o Ola Mae Webb, d/o Lewis Frank Webb, s/o Benjamin Franklin Webb and Martha E. Chapman

I would love to correspond with anyone acquainted with or related to any of the people.
