I am trying to uncover the ancestry of a child of a Milton Woodruff and Nancy E. Reid/Reid. Jeanette Woodruff was placed in an orphanage in Oklahoma City in 1910, at age 15, with her two younger sisters. We have Milton's lineage, but cannot discover the story of his last wife, Nancy E. (Reid or Reed, from her first marriage, no maiden name known).Milton (b. 1844 Alabama, d. 1915 TX) was married previously,(to Sarah F. unknown maiden name) and had a whole family in Texas, then married Nancy in Wise Co, TX, in 1889 (listed as Mrs. Nancy E. Reed/Reid,b. Apr. 1865 in KY). They had 4 children, and are found separately after that living (he) in Ft. Worth and (she) Oklahoma (with their children). Three daughters, Jeanette (may have been a nickname), Audrie and Jewell, were placed in the Oklahoma Baptist Orphanage by 1910, though Milton was alive and didn't die until 1915 in Texas.
Milton Woodruff's parents were Irwin Woodruff and Mary Bellah(both from Georgia; Irwin died in Wise Co, TX) - Mary's father's name was Samuel Bellah, her mother was Mary/Polly Phillips. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
