I am still here. My mother was a Cantrell. I have some information about Tilghman A. Cantrell. I have been doing some research on a different line and had given up on the Cantrell line. My Aunt had several lines of information, I will have to try to locate it and bring myself up to speed on the Cantrells again. If you wish you may use my email address for a more direct communication. Alabama brings me full circle in a way.
My dad's grandfather was from Connecticut, but we find him in Mississippi at age 20 in 1860, where he joined the Mississippi 13th Infantry and served under Lee throughout the war.
I think that my mother's grandfather, William A. Cantrell, was in Kentucky when he was about 1 yr old, it appears he had no father or mother living as he was with another Cantrell family (an uncle probably) according to the Census. I am living in Mississippi near Tupelo at the present time.
