Liz, hope you see this. Last week I was standing in the middle of the Butler - Wheeler Cemetery near Stockdale. I saw the some of the gravesites of your Wheeler family. The cemetery is in horrible condition, it is in the middle of the country, cactus chest high, weeds and other stickery stuff the same. All of the stones have fallen over.

There is a stone for Maniza Wheeler, it is broken. I saw the stone for D T Wheeler and I believe the one for John also. I used two rolls of film, unfortunately the second roll with the Wheeler graves on it was exposed by the developer. My g grandmother Allison is buried in this cemetery and I have wondered how they knew the Wheelers. If the sequence of burials is correct, Maniza Wheeler was buried in 1863, Lela Wheeler dau of DT and MA Wheeler in 1863, John Wheeler in 1867 and my g grandmother M E Allison in 1872. My g grandfather John Allison may have been stump preaching, I believe Methodist, in the area. Gil
