I am looking for Alvin Davis and His Wife Arene London Davis. There is a strong Possibility that Arene is Irene London and she was the daughter of Allen London and Rosanna York. Allen London and Rosanna York had a Daughter named Irene that was born in 1907 in Hopkins County,TX(Birth may have actually occured in Pittsburg,TX, but the family lived in Hopkins,TX) Allen London died in 1912 in Pickton,Hopkins county,TX. The children were put up for adoption and Rosanna remarried shortly after. We do not know why Irene was put in the Institute for the Feble Minded, It might be she had some brain damage from a Torando that hit the Hopkins county area in 1907 or it could be that she was just a anixious and nervious child.
This is the information I have on her from the census and if you have any information on her or if she is in your family please send me a e-mail, The census information:1920 Precinct 3, Travis Co., Texas Enumiration District 91 Page 8B
London, Arene age Female White 13 Single
Her and parents born in Texas
Just because she was in the institution does not mean she was too feble
minded. She did attend school.
This may be a possibility for her on the 1930 census:
Davis, Alvin Head age 25 Married age 23 born in TX parents born in
Power Plant Operator.
Davis, Arene Wife age 23 Married age 21 her and ,parents born in,
house keeper.
Winona O. Davis age 1 2/12 (could be 1/12) hard to read.
I do not know for sure that this Arene is the daughter of
Allen London and Rosanna York and More information is needed. My e-mail address is: .
