Source - Corra Marie Ward her niece by marriage. She was from Boston, Mass and was a nurse for a few years. No children Tombstone says Rawley and Madeleine were married March 8, 1918. The tombstone also gives her birth as born 1895. If you take a look at all the information you will notice the census reports don't match up with her age. My father, Madeleine's brother in law, told me there were rumors that Madeleine was older than Rawley. She was such a dear person, I never thought of asking her that question. I was told she was about three years older than her husband Rawley, it appears she was about six and a half years older than he was, if you look at the 1900 and 1910 census reports, they both give her birth 1887. The Florida Death Index and the Social Security Death Index also have conflicting birth dates of 1894 and 1895. Further information in the City Directory of Nasha 1911 p.144 states Madeleine is a nurse in 1911 that further indicates she probably fudged on her age later in life. The directory also listed her father as owner of Acme Shoe Complany; Henry Major as Mechinist all living at 60 Chestnut Street.
