Seek relatives/descendants of BRYANT S. MANGUM born ca 1804 in GA. Moved with 2nd wife ANGELINE SILLS MANGUM from AL to TX ca 1849, to Harrison, Panola, Tyler Counties, then Trinity Co. Angeline was on 1870 and 1880 censuses as head of household. THEIR CHILDREN: Anna/Annie and E___ b AL, Mary K. b TX, Bryant Jr. b TX, & Jackson b TX. Am wondering if Jackson was actually the child of Bryant's daughter SOPHRONIA by his 1st marriage in AL. Sophronia thought to have a son by her marriage to JOHN GALLION in AL; they are on 1860 Trinity Co. census with her father Bryant Mangum. Sophronia married again but left her 2nd husband and is said to have taken Gallion's child to her father's home before leaving TX with new husband.
