He accidently shot himself on Christmas Day in 1952 fought for 36 days to live and died on Thursday Jan 29, 1953 - survivors: wife 3 yr old daughter Mary Meador Winn brother: O.B. - Abilene parents: MR. & Mrs J.A. Winn of Abilene niece: Nita Winn - Abilene Was a POW in Japan for 42 months - taken prisoner on Java. Was visiting his parents when accident occured. Hope it helps, Betty
