Sometime between 1866 and 1870 Joseph Duncan Abney and his wife Keziah Williams died leaving several young children orphaned. The following children appear in various households in Garden Valley, Smith County, MS. 10/10 John Ellison 59, GA Eliabeth ", 67 GA Catherine Abney, 10, TX 24/24 William Murphy 23 AR Sarah " 20, AL Henry ' 4, TX John " 2, TX Reuben Abney, 15 TX 358/363 Henry Adams 37, AL Mary " 35, GA Benjamin Dunn 15, TX Eliza " 2, TX Ellen Abney, 10, TX Does anyone have access to Smith county, TX courthouse records who could check for an estate/probate and guardianship documents for Joseph Duncan "JD" & Keziah Abney and their minor children?
