I just talked to my Aunt and she told me that I had some relatives that I didn't know of. She said during the depression her Uncle Jim Brown and his wife Connie and four daughters lived in a tent on my grandfather's , Walter Brown, farm near Algerita. She said one of the girls were killed by a rock which hit her behind the ear. One daughter was named Estelle. Two of the daughters borrowed money from a man named Taylor (I wonder if it was a relative of Henry Taylor) and became school teachers. I think Connie died of cancer. I don't know how Jim died. If anyone can help me locate these daughters and their families, I would appreciate it very much. Life was hard during the depression. I remember my parents talking about living in a tent for awhile.
