Hi, I'm Brenda

I am looking for information on CC Taylor, born about 1851 and died in Rusk County, TX on 4-23-17, Cert #111441. He was my great great grandfather. On the 1910 census he was listed with his children: CC Taylor, 59, married, no wife was listed, Kelly Taylor, 23 (Son), Reef 17 (Son), Houston 14 (Son), Dolphus 12 (Son), Floyd 10 (Daughter), and Nellie 8 (Daughter).

I cannot be sure but I believe the "Reef," may have been the nickname to my great grandfather Derefus T. Taylor, he died in Corpus Christi, TX, he was born in the 1890s. His younger brother Dolphus was born 5 Aug 1897 and died Aug 1982 in Henderson, TX.

They had a sister named Beatrice "Momo" Taylor who was already married to John Henry Minor Parry in the 1910 Nueces County Census, she was step mother to Myrtle Bell Parry and Lizzie Florence Parry and mother to Vera Parry age 5 in the 1910 census.

CC Taylor was married to someone that may have been named Parleigh, Parlee, Parely, Parle, Paralee, Parley or Parly ... this person may have been of Cherokee heritage, the story goes that she left her husband and went back to an indian reservation and died there.

If anyone can find me an obituary for him, CC Taylor, or other information on this family line I would deeply appreciate it.

God Bless

Brenda
