My Ferguson line stems from Isaac who immigrated from VA thru KY into IL where he founded Ferguson settlement and then eventually moved to Tx. The oldest soldier in Mexican - American war (said he was 40 when he enlisted when in fact he was 70.) My line was from his son John who stayed in Marine (town changed names). His son John L. Ferguson eventually moved down to MO. Trying to find out the why and period of that move and why John stayed in IL and didn't follow a good portion of his own family down into TX. Any add'l info on Isaac is always appreciated and I have a 5 page history on him for interested parties that I have compiled.
