I need help there in Point or Emory. my family were Sliders. &from what I can gather our Slider came to Rains Co. sometime in the late 1800's & apparently taken in by the Montgomerys. he eventually ended up with a cotton gin & a lot of children BUT not on eperson knows anything about thim his name is Quinney/Quinnie Lee Slider. b. 1855 d. 1925 in Point. Bur. at Woosley cem.with im his his wife, Sarah Jane Havins. cannot find out where he came from. the story is he came there at the age of 7 & wsa taken in by the Montgomey's. now I know there were 4 of them that owned cotton plants or gins so I dont know which one. I do need some marriage records from there if anyone can find them. or has them, or is nearby to see about them for me. thanks so much......I am Jo Ann Loghry.........
