Trying to find information on John H Shipley who lived in Rains Co. I know from 1880 to 1920's. He married Nancy Melton in TX. They had children: Idealla, Rosa Lee, Lela, Bessie, Pearl, James Scott, Dick, George (Pete?). John was born in TN supposedly in 1854, but was on U.S. census in 1880 in Rains Co. There was a big trial because he shot and killed his son in law Almo Lee Robertson in 1926 in Rains Co. Does anyone know anything about this family, I need help and am stuck with John.
