I do hope this message still reaches you. I had given up on this particular family as a connection some time ago...BUT new information has recently renewed my interest. It seems that Charles Sherwood HOLLAND (C.S. listed on the Jefferson Co. census you posted) had another close family member that resided in the same Jackson Co. MS during the exact same time frame that Charles did.

All the children listed on the Jefferson Co census, as far as I can tell from other researchers and documents, belong to Charles: but I am now wondering what happened to the children of his close relative: also named WILLIAM HOLLAND also from Jackson Co, MS.

Could it be possible that my William T. "WT" HOLLAND was a cousin or nephew to this family and just didn't make it to Texas until after 1850?

SO *smile* I'm knee deep in the Jackson Co, MS Hollands' that migrated to Jefferson County, TX, and am curious about where the original William's kinfolk went when Charles moved to Texas. What there names were, etc etc etc etc.

Thanks for the heads up!, and please let me know if you have any info on the Jackson County, William born btw 1780-1790 and who he married and who his several children were..and where they went, etc etc. I am open to any information.

Thanks in advance (to anyone that can provide info),
Michelle Holland
