Yes, Aaron is supposed to be on the Orane Co census. I know all about Ruffin Turner and I can't believe there is someone else out there looking for him--finally. I have been trying to determine whether or not Ruffin Turner was related to Samuel Turner, born 1812 SC. Do you have any information on siblings of Ruffin? This is what I know about Ruffin. His father-in-law was James Conn. He built a house in Roganville, TX and there is a historical marker there. Ruffin left and went to California for the gold rush and did not return. Aaron did not go to California but instead went to Orange Co. I haven't done a lot of research on Aaron as I was stuck at trying to determine whether or not Ruffin and Samuel were cousins. Also, do you think that Ruffin was a surname of maybe Ruffin's mother or another female line? There is a surname of Ruffin. There is an Orange Co website and I will see if I can find the address for you. There is a lot of information on that website.
