I have noticed that this website hasn't been updated in quite awhile. There is a lot of incorrect information concerning the Barron family that is contained in a book sold by the owner of this website. She has been e-mailed, more than once, giving the correct information. To this date, no effort has been made to correct the errors. My great grandmother, Emily Jefferson Thrash Barron, did NOT die in 1885 as the author of the book, "The Barron Connection in Nacogdoches County, Texas", claims. Nacogdoches County census records show her living with a daughter in Nacogdoches in 1920. I have a copy of the newspaper obiturary showing she died in February of 1935. All of this has been sent to the owner of this website quite awhile ago, yet, no corrections have been made. A member of my family has also contacted the website owner by phone to attempt to correct the erroneous information, but, was told the information was correct because she had it from "two reliable sources". When you refuse to accept information from direct family members, you don't appear to want to know the facts if it means having to admit your errors. If you are going to sell books containing family information, it should be verified before being published.
She has also a roster of the Swift Cemetery on the website. The lady who did the roster, as well as myself, have tried to get numerous errors to this cemetery roster corrected with no luck! There are three of my LIVING aunts listed as "DIED, NO DATES" on the roster on this website. Those who are living shouldn't be listed as dead!
I hope that nobody doing research on families in Nacogdoches County is relying on this website for factual information.
