It would appear you have been waiting some time for your answer on this topic. Potter's Point was a community on the east end of Marion County located on the shores of Caddo Lake, south of the community of Gray.
The history behind the name of Potter's Point is portrayed in the book, "Love is a Wild Assault". It is where Robert Potter and his family settled. When his grave was exhumed to be moved to (I think) Austin, my grandmother was one of the group in attendance.
Following the time period about which you are inquiring, there was a settlement or company community owned by Gulf Oil. In the early 1930's when my Mother was born, my grandmother was a teacher and possibly "principal" of the school that was there for the employees' children. Another great uncle of mine lived the worked there also. Feel free to contact me and I can put you in touch with my Mother who can provide much more information.
