We've a match! I have to dig but Mack, Govie and Addie are listed in my records. I'm sure they are Baileys!! The name is Southside Cemetery. (936)348-2955. The primary caretaker is Mr. McCloud. There is also a Ms. Neeley (936)348-5097 who I haven't been able to get in touch with. Mack Bailey and M. C. Bailey are listed as interred. MC (1/13/1869 - 6/23/43) and Mack (9/11/1841 - 11/3/1909). Govie is listed with a date of death 12/5/65 - age 80. The web address is: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txmadiso/southside.txt. Didn't find Addie listed at this site, but I think she was a Wheaton, who, like many other Wheatons, married a Baileys. Since I started this, I've had to learn to concentrate on my direct line. However, when Jeff Bailey moved to Madison County (1880) he had three children. Those buried in this cemetery appear to be the grandchildren of 1796 Jeff. The confusing thing is that the surname of Jeff, Robert and Mack appear time and again throughout so pinpointing DOB is crucial to sort which sibling had which Mack, Rob or Jeff.

This is exciting, to finally find a connection with someone out in cyberspace!!!:):)

my e-mail address for direct contact is mzross2u@yahoo.com or hross@wizard.ucr.edu. Please feel free to contact me anytime, really, its no bother.

Hope to hear from you soon and good hunting.
