The name was and is BARRETT

BELIEVE it was BARRETT in late 1700s

C P lived in Kemper Co in 1840s and early 1850s

C P or Charles Pinkny Barrett is at Concord

buried thee next to his wife L P or Lucinda Parthena PHILLIPS Barrett .

He born in 1817 and she in 1816

He died in 1865 and L P died in 1870

J P or Jon Pinkney Barrett is buried there

He died in 1894

J P or James Pinkney BARRETT is buried there

He also died in 1894 Both died of pnuemonia

There are two or three others there with them but I don't recall their names

The C P looks like "G" P and the stone is broken and is up against a tree...

Family did arrive there about 1857 or 1858

Many of the sons moved to central Texas near Stephenville.

Know much about those at Concord as I visited my great grandmother there in early 1950s

I am just wondering WHERE they came from BEFORE C P was born in S C in 1817

Have done much research to no avail

Thought perhaps some one left around there who has gone deeper with better luck...
