1880 census Madisonville, Madison Co, TX:

Category: Name; Relationship to head of household; Marital Status; Gender; Race; Age; Birthplace; Occupation; Father's Birthplace; Mother's Birthplace.

Lucinda JOUBERT Self W Female W 34 TX Housekeeper OH OH
William CRAIG Son S Male W 14 TX Laborer OH TX
Lee J. CRAIG Dau S Female W 12 TX At Home OH TX
Mary E. JOUBERT Dau S Female W 10 TX At Home OH TX
Edas JOUBERT Dau S Female W 7 TX At Home OH TX
Benjamin J. JOUBERT Son S Male W 5 TX At Home OH TX

Relationship to head of household shows Lucinda as "self" making her head of household. Marital Status is "W" making her a widow, so Julian would have died between 1875, birth of youngest child and 1880 when census was taken.

Apparently William and Lee Craig are her children from a previous marriage. On the 1870 census in Houston Co, TX they are shown with the Jubert[sic] name, but this census clears that up. L.J. (Lee) was one year old in 1870, so you should be looking for the marriage of Julian and Lucinda just shortly prior to that 1870 census, probably in Houston Co.

Marriage index on Madison Co, TX GenWeb site shows Mary Joubert married William Beale in 1888. You browse that site some more, then post a query there, too.
