My gr-gr-grandmother Malinda Jones was born about 1815 in Tennessee, a daughter of Houston County pioneers Jesse R. Jones and Hannah Pomeroy Killough. She married Lemuel Washington Cruce, probably in Tennessee, and moved with him to Marshall County, Mississippi where most of her 7 children were born. Lemuel died in 1847. She then traveled to Anderson County, Texas with her children where she married one John Blair on 15 November 1849. By 1850 she was living with him and her children in Houston County. Between 1850 and 1860 she disappeared from the records. Does anyone know what happened to Malinda Jones Cruce Blair?
It seems likely that some members of the large Jones-Killough family in the area would have made note of their sister's death (if, indeed, she did die between 1850-60) in an old Bible, letter, etc. Can anyone help?
