I noticed Minnie Ola's birth certificate today too... Evie's approx. birth date is different on that document and there is also the children birthed vs. children living discrepancy that you mentioned. Evie Hall's last name is also listed in the Van Zandt marriage record for her and "J. T. Bradley" in 1892. I thought that maybe Evie had a previous deceased husband, which might account for her last name, Hall, but that seems so unlikely if she married J.T. at the ripe age of 13... I have been trying to trace the descendents of J.T. and Evie, but I haven't had any luck getting in contact with anyone so far... My grandpa did not know his grandfather (J.T.) very well, and his only memory of him was when he was on his death bed. My grandfather's mother (Annie Bell) and her husband built J.T. and his second wife a house in San Antonio when they got old. I don't think they were ever very wealthy people.

Finding that Hill County orphanage record was very exciting for us last year! My grandfather told us that his mother was in an orphanage for a short period of time after her mother died, but we never expected to find an actual record of this!

Thanks for looking into this some more! I feel like there has to be a record somewhere that helps us figure this out!
