The people I am researching are listed on the 1880 Hardin Co., Texas Census. They are in E.D. 30, Dwelling 37, Family # 41.
James Brackin, age 25 - b. 1855 GA
Elizabeth, age 21 - b. FL
William W., age 3 - son
Classu ?, age 2 - daughter
Lit J. Patterson, age 23 - brother-in-law to head of household
Littleton Patterson, Jr., age 16 - uncle to head of household
There are two other Brackin families listed below with an Elizabeth Patterson, age 60 living with one of them.
I am interested in the Littleton Patterson, Jr. and Elizabeth Patterson. The problem is some of these people came from Jackson Co., FL where they were listed on the 1870 Census. I can't find any hard evidence of which of these two boys belong to the family in FL. Was hoping the key would be if someone knew the names of James Brackin's wife's parents. Hope you can help. James and Elizabeth Patterson married 8-1-1875 Hardin Co. 5 or 6 Patterson men and their families lived in Jackson Co., FL in the 1830s, 1840s and 1850. Some moved West and I would love to track them down.
