I am trying to find details about the husbands and family of my g-g-aunt, Effie Carter. Effie was born in 1864, and married first Robert H. Pace in 1881 in Grayson Co., TX. Robert and Effie had three children, Virgil, Clarence, and Laura Frances. When Laura was born in 1889 the family was living in Corsicana, Navarro Co., TX. By 1891 when Robert died, they may have been living in Chilicothe, Hardeman Co. Effie married 2) Charles Houston Wolfe (b. abt. 1868 LaPorte, IN) in abt. 1893, probably in Hardeman Co. Their first child Clifford A. was born there in 1894. In about 1895, the Wolfes bought a sawmill in Lonoke Co., AR and probably relocated there, but by 1898 they were back in the Hardeman Co. area, just north in Greer Co. OK Territory.
