Searching for information on William W. Jones of Guadalupe Co, Texas and Wilson County, Texas. W. W. Jones died February, 1891 and is buried in the Concrete Cemetery according to Mrs. Willie Mae Weinert who confirmed his resting place in her book "History of Guadalupe County", 1951.
Mr. Elam Scull, Sr. also wrote in an article 1905, regarding the old Concrete School in Guadalupe County, "Uncle Billy Jones was the first schoolteacher in the old Concrete School and now sleeps in the Concrete Graveyard". The first old school was built ca. 1858 and burned 1867, therefore, Uncle Billy Jones taught 1858-59.
Max Moellering, mentions in his thesis (1938) "History of Guadalupe County", "W.W. Jones was a schoolteacher".
In the Guadalupe County Probate Records, Book E, pp. 45,46,47, dated 3/27/1891, I find the Will of William W. Jones.

We have no grave stone in Concrete Cemetery with the name of W. W. Jones or Sarah Jones. I would like to correspond with any descendants of the above Willam and Sarah Jones. I am the Historian for the old Concrete Cemetery and interested in any information about them for our archives. If, in fact, they are buried in this cemetery, we would like to get a marker bearing their names and have it placed in the cemetery. Please get in touch at
