hi John....
i was checking guadalupe county and came across your message. i just happened to be in guadalupe county two weeks ago searching for my relatives. while in the Sophienburg Archives in New Braunfels (they are online too) i found a small notebook/folder with a list of guadalupe county cemeteries. "CONCRETE" is listed as #56 on a typewritten paper located "Off 775 & S of 467". that is all from that paper i photocopied. the top of the paper is titled "Index to Cemetery Listings". I left New Branfels (german settlement town) in Comal County and drove over to Seguin the county seat of Guadalupe County. The libary gave me a copy of a hand-drawn map that lists all the cemeteries by numbers to match the list above. Although i cannot locate "Concrete" #56 on the map right now....it's got to be near the towns of Cibolo and Haeckerville and New Berlin. The cemetery that i am lQQKing for is #57 Vordenbaum and is supposidly in Cibolo. Unfortunately i didn't have time to find my possible relative in the Vordenbaum cemetery that day and had to fly home. YOUR cemetery is also on another list...probably an online version...also as #57 Concrete Cemetery on the "Cemeteries - Guadalupe County, Texas site URL: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txguadal/gu-cems.htm. Latitude 292250N Longitude 0980538W USGS New Berlin.
i located yours when i got home...which also lists mine Vordenbaum. None of this is too far from San Antonio. Hopes this helps. i know the ladies at the Seguin Library could probably provide you with the same map. If you know of my cemetery....please let me know. i need someone to find a grave for "John Manzke" and give me the dates off it as well as pinpoint it on the map for me. Mine is Haeckerville Rd 1/4 mile S of Cibolo. hope this helps and wasn't too lengthy.
