I am looking for any information and the location and gravesites of Mary Elizabeth Norton and Philo Beebee Perry, and their sons, Benjamin Frederic Perry, and William Douglass Perry. Mary and Philo m. 6-15-1863 in Anderson, TX, and settled in Navasota, Grimes, TX. Philo Beebee Perry b. 4-7-1840, CT; d. 6-10-1874 Navasota, TX. Mary Elizabeth Norton Perry b.4-9-1844 TN, d. 1-16-1872 Navasota, TX. Together they had 3 children: Benjamin Frederic Perry, b. 1-27-1865 Navasota TX, d. 3-5-1866, Navasota TX; William Douglass Perry b. 2-9-1867 Navasota TX, d. 6-13-1867; and my great-grandmother, Mary Grace Perry (Perry) b. 1-22-1871 Navasota, TX, d. 6-12-1912 San Antonio, TX I have 1860, 1870 and 1870 census records. And the family can be traced back to pre-American Revolution New England Colonies in two books: 1. A Genealogy of Benjamin Cleveland, A Great-Grandson of Moses Cleveland, of Woburn, Mass, and a Native of Canterbury, Windham County, Conn., by Horace Gillette Cleveland, © Chicago: Printed for the Compiler. 1879. (located in Public Library of the City of Boston; and 2. Elder John White, One of The First Settlers of Hartford, Conn., and of His Descendants, by Allyn S. Kellogg, © Hartford: Printed for the Family, by Cash, Lockwood and Company, 1860. Located: Book from the Collections of Harvard University. I have a fair amount of information on the family, but would love to know more about their time in Navasota, and I would like to know more about Mary Elizabeth Norton Perry's parents Martha Willian and William Douglass Norton. Martha did live in Navasota at one time, but I have no idea where she and her husband died. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Maurene |
