Searching for info on g-grandfather said to be buried next to wife at Grace Hill. County courthouse records dated January 1920 on appointment of guardian for orphaned minor son state he was a resident of Gregg County. Family was in Gregg on 1900 and 1910 Census so his residency would appear correct. Problem is I can find no death record in Gregg County or from TX State Dept. of Health. Longview City Clerk records on Grace Hill do not show he was buried next to wife. Have copy of deed for lot where wife is buried. Only one lot was purchased. Does one lot equate to one gravesite? Courthouse also has another file which is sealed. Father and son were Jr. and Sr. Courthouse records do not show Jr. or Sr. on either file. Is there a period of time after which sealed files become available? There are strange family stories about Anthony that make me wonder if a sealed filed could relate to mental commitment - perhaps at Rusk Mental Hospital. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who might know something or anyone who has thoughts on this situation. Does anyone know if it's possible to get records from Rusk Mental Hospital? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
