I know this is an old post, but the TX Dth Idx 1890-1976 came online recently. You can view digitized copies of the original death records. Jerry Marr Grimes, b 12 May 1890, TX; d 25 Aug 1969, Marlin, Falls Co, TX; widowed; buried Calvary Cemetery; informant Fletcher Grimes, brother. Names of parents not reported. Fletcher Estelle Grimes, b 3 Dec 1898, TX; d 29 Mar 1974, Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto Co, TX; married; informant Mrs. Florence Grimes; father George Grimes; mother Emily Davis. Now, accuracy of death certificates only as good as the knowledge of the informant.
