The obit below might be useful. I have not related to this line. A cousin of set of cousins, Clarice Hazel Murtishaw Gibson died 1929 in Howard Co., Texas; since Clarice's parents lived in Carter Co., Oklahoma which is near Marlow, Oklahoma, there might be some kind of connection between Clarice's husband Gibson (don't know given name) and your Gibson group. The familysearch.org site has several Gibson death certificates for Howard Co., Texas, some, besides William Newton Gibson, might be yours. Gibson Dies This Morning After a Long Illness WILLIAM NEWTON GIBSON, 83, died at 2:30 this morning following an extended period of illness. Long a resident of Big Spring, he was born in Louisiana April 1, 1862. Services have been planned this afternoon in the Eberley-Curry Chapel with Rev. WILLIAM BEST of the Trinity Baptist Church in charge. Burial will be in a local cemetery. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. LEVY ROBINSON of Big Spring, Mrs. B. B.
