Cindy,

What a wonderful "Random Act of Kindness" - I have a bit of a dilemma with Luvina Roberts Hendrix. I know she is of our Roberts family but there were at least 2 if not more Luvina Roberts around this time - all from same family. These Roberts who came from SC to North Ga all lived in 3 or 4 close Ga counties including Hall, Cherokee, Gwinnett, Forsyth in the 1800s.

The elders in that family used the same names over and over so I can't figure out which brother was Luvina's father. It looks like our Luvina Hendrix is 8 years older than her husband but since they married in 1849 in Hall Co Ga, the Denton Co records of birth years may be incorrect - at least for one of them.

Is the Swisher cemetery where they are buried anywhere close to your weekly visits to Denton. I would love to know what years their headstones say - If not, that's fine - you have given me more information than I am likely to have ever found on my own - since I am in GA.

I can confirm James Hendrix parents by ordering a death certificate for him since he died in 1921 but I doubt TX was issuing death certificates in 1902 when Luvina died.

I am grateful for your help. REgards, Eleanor Roberts Davis
