Hello. Thank you so much for your help. It is impossible to contact the Dallas Public Library by phone or email, so I do not know how I could have found the information that you sent me. I do not know where old city directories would be except at the public library. Paul O'Day was the prosecuting attorney here in Springfield in 1917-1918. There were two important cases: the murder-kidnapping of a baby and the bombing of a street car. O'Day did a great job, but he was ran out of town anyway. He moves to Dallas and gets murdered. The shooter did not spend a day in jail. He recieved a full pardon from the governor. Go figure. Thanks brian
