Hi, Glynda, I received a notice of your post to Nix at GenForum asking about Martha Isabelle Nix. I spent a while this morning looking at census records, and this is what I found. Things in parentheses were not legible. It appears to me that your GERE line was in Iowa before moving to Texas. If this is the correct line of NIXes then they were in Kentucky before coming to Texas. Let me know if any of this pans out for you.
