On page 52, of "They Came in Peace to Coleman County," it says: "Camp Colorado had been named county seat of Coleman County at a tentative organization held in 1862; living near the post and taking part in the meeting were Malcolm Hunter, who was named county judge; L. D. Greaves, county clerk, and W. E. Costley, sheriff.
On two other pages L. D. Greaves is mentioned as county clerk, then in 1876, it says L. D. Greaves was elected county AND district clerk.
